Bonnie Fuller refuses to self-Google

Bonnie Fuller

It was just yesterday we were "commending" the Palm Beach Boast for their aggressive coverage of David Pecker's American Media Inc. And look — we get to do it again today!

Today they've got a Q&A with AMI editorial director Bonnie Fuller, otherwise known as the woman who keeps staffers from their families all week.

Not only is she well-schooled in avoiding questions (like when she completely deflects the notion that competitors might be stealing her newsstand sales), but the woman knows how to stay inside her bubble of photo captions and exclamation points.

Q: Have you done a Google search on your name recently?

A: Not lately.

Q: There's some pretty vicious stuff out there. Even the New York Post said your contract might be cut because of disappointing results. How do you deal with that?

A: I mean, you just have to focus on what you're doing and what you know the truth of the situation is, and you can't be distracted by that. People throw stuff out there all the time. At Star, we have a very high bar before we print anything. We need multiple sources. We're very mindful of that. We don't want to be wrong. Not everybody has the same standards.

And we're proud to be Bonnie's 10th Google result, at least as of this printing. But you know how manipulative she is — she'll probably send a flack to change it.
