Pete Doherty didn't even have a chance to see the sun go down today after making his exit from yet another stint in rehab before ending up in handcuffs yet again. The charges? We don't even have to tell you.

The Babyshambles frontman was held on suspicion of possessing class A drugs with intent to supply after cops stopped a car he was travelling in.

Doherty is in custody at an East London police station, along with the 21-year-old driver, who was also arrested.

The arrest, at 2.10pm today, came just three hours after the on-off lover of supermodel Kate Moss was spared jail on drugs charges by magistrates.

It's a sad day when Courtney Love looks like she's got promise.
