Only hours after an explosive device (loaded with fuel, gas cylinders nails) was found in London's theater district this morning, police have already discovered what appears to be a second car-bomb.
A second car found on a London street on Friday contained possible bomb materials, sources told CNN, hours after police disarmed an explosives-filled car in the city's busy theater district.
Police and security sources say the car was found to contain components very similar to the first car — definitely fuel, and possibly much more…Security sources told CNN they believed the first device found — loaded with fuel, gas cylinders and nails — was set up for remote detonation.
Police said it could have caused huge numbers of casualties.
Meanwhile, British police have reportedly deactivated the explosives, although they have yet to contain the growing fears that a terrorist strike might be imminent.
All in all, not exactly what new British Prime Minister Gordon Brown was hoping for on his second day of work.
