Breaking: We Don't Think 'Getting Kidnapped' is What War Reporters Meant by 'Vacation'

Ok, now we feel bad for making fun of war reporters for bitching about not being able to take their time off because all this war stuff keeps happening. In light of the recent news that two journalist were kidnapped in Gaza, our previous attempt at humor now makes us feel bit like a-holes.

Palestinian gunmen kidnapped two foreign journalists working for the Fox News television channel in Gaza on Monday, a witness said. The witness, a Palestinian who worked with the two journalists, said one of them, a producer, was an American, and the other, whose nationality he did not know, was a cameraman.

The witness said two vehicles blocked the journalist's transmission truck in the center of Gaza City and a masked man put a gun to the bodyguard's head, forcing him to the ground.

Then again, if only they had taken their vacation days this August … well, there's no point in questioning the past. We just have to look to the future, and hope that these journalists are returned safely and soundly. And that Fox gives them a few extra vacay days when they get back.
