After the incident, Britney went to FAO Schwartz with Sean, shopped around and then went to a nearby restaurant where she sat with Sean in hand. She was all smiles with the waitress and she and an unidentified woman ordered. Then, suddenly, Britney broke down and began crying. She tried to mask the emotion by using her baby to shield her face. Britney then took Sean to the bathroom where we're told she reapplied her makeup and then left.
Good thing nobody was trying to shoot her at the time she used her kid as a human shield.

seriously- up until now I have never felt badly for her, but seeing her after the tripping incident, break down in front of her adorible baby while coated in constant camera flashes- it was heartbreaking. she is a young mother, and motherhood doesn't come easy for everyone- it's a shame she can't have time to learn, and is judged for everything, even the length of her jeans and the height of her shoes. why not the uneveness of the pavement?
Being a first time mother is hard! I know, I'm one myself and no one is perfect the first time out. Or the second or third for that matter. Being a parent is all about learning! And you never stop… She is going to make mistakes. She is HUMAN! The media needs to back off and let this poor woman raise her baby with out all of the constant harsh comments! The media needs to focus on the real child abusers! Britney loves her baby boy! And I agree will another comment made, uneven pavement not Britney could have been to blame!!!!!!!

I think the people that are making nasty comments in the media about this incident are people that do not know squat about parenting and babies. It is not uncommon for a mother to hold the baby in one arm and hold something else in another. Babies take tumbles all the time. It's hard enough to be pregnant let alone caring for a 6 months old. By the way, did any of those paparazi's dropped their camera to try to help her? Asshats..
She's nothing but a total moron and it should have been illegal for her and that trash she's married to, to reproduce and now she's going to have another baby that will potentially be harmed. Ugh!
Britney is the mother of that child, and as such, she’s responsible for his welfare. New mother or not, her behavior is unacceptable. She’s obviously had a lot of advice and criticism, yet refuses to heed any of it. She is of the arrogant “know it all†types who doesn’t want to accept her faults and work on them. The end result is the endangerment of her son, and her subsequent children.
She’s crying, not because of her son, but because she was once again proven to be inadequate as a parent, far more concerned with everything BUT the child.
She was embarrassed, nothing more. Her embarrassment, coupled with her hormones from yet another mistake resulted in what we see as the blubbering mess that is Twitney.
Tam, I have no doubt that you will soon be visited by child welfare officials if you think that it's okay to not properly secure your child in the car, and neglect your child in other instances as Britney Spears has.
