Candace Bushnell Introduces Scary Sadshaws to MySpace Generation
Hello (underage) lover!

Because young adults need to start early if they're ever going to complain about finding love and authentic Versace in NYC like the pros, a young Carrie Bradshaw will now be featured in a new kid's series by Sex and the City creator Candace Bushnell:

“It hasn’t all been resolved yet,” (editor) Ms. Bray said. “I think she’ll come here the way Candace did, with her friends, to hang out in the city on the weekend, and have a lot of social interaction there, and then eventually she’ll come to college here, as Candace did.”

Why doesn't Bushnell just write her memoirs then, instead of rehashing the same characters over and over and over.

Unfortunately there is definitely a teenage market for stories about what Carrie was like before she hit it Big (ugh). Because who didn't "lose her virginity to Seth Bateman on a ping-pont table in 11th grade," like Carrie claimed to have on the show?

HarperCollins needs to get that story locked up ASAP before some other children's author teaches the newest generation of minds that deep down we're all emotionally vacant, one-dimensional, post-feminists who will end up in a Vera Wang dress, ditched at our own wedding. Or at least before the next Gossip Girl serial hits.
