China To Begin Construction On The World's Largest Ferris Wheel
Does anyone else think this could end badly?

ferris-wheel-2.jpgFerris wheels will finally be scary again.

China has begun construction on what will be the world’s largest Ferris wheel, towering at 680 feet in Beijing.

Originally China hoped the wheel would be open for the Olympic games, but with delays, there is no expected completion date. The wheel will be able to carry 1,920 passengers and was designed by the same company that created the London Eye. The 525-foot-tall Star of Nanchang in the Jiangxi province in China is currently the world's biggest Ferris wheel.

At 625 feet, the Ferris wheel should offer a beautiful view of Beijing's smog line.
