It's no big secret that Page Six editor Chris Wilson has been preparing to leave the column for quite some time. The big question was, yes, when? … but also, where? Many a media gossip wondered if Wilson would join the boys at Radar, or if maybe he would go the gossip rag route. Well, today the announcement came from the Daily News that Wilson is leaving, and he's going to Maxim.

Wilson is abandoning the leaking ship by choice for a higher-paying gig at Maxim magazine, sources told the Daily News.

The word is Wilson will go on vacation next week then work another two weeks before he hightails it for good.
