That little bump in Larry King's ratings? You've got Jon Klein to thank for that. No, the CNN president didn't get into bed with Nielsen, but we're told he's been taking a micromanaging role at the network staple. Along with feature-style CNN Presents, Larry King Live is among Klein's niche interests — and despite all those minor responsibilities that might come along with heading U.S. operations for a worldwide news operation boasting some 4,000 newsies, an insider tells us Klein has taken on a veritable executive producing role at both shows. He's virtually commandeered LKL chief Wendy Walker's position, making subtle but distinct changes, like choosing new music and speeding up the show's pace.
Surprisingly, nobody seems to mind. From what we understand, Klein is well received among top brass and underlings alike. Well, until he cans Paula Zahn.

Is Klein the source of this? Since the truth is he's pretty UN-popular at CNN.
He oversees over 4000 employees? Last time I checked he was just over CNN/US. Has he taken Walton's job?
He's completely delusional and has the IQ of a shoelace.
The current exec producer or whatever she calls herself isnt getting the job done because she has no clue about current events. Stories? I can tell you stories. It's good he's involved.
Dear Joe:
I'll see your stories and raise you double that amount.
Jon Klein's attention to Larry King Live is the best thing that's happened to the show in years.
He has a good feel for topics and guests who'll bring younger viewers into the tent without alienating the core audience.
The executive producer of the show has become irrelevant.
Joe Blow and Mary Doe - oddly similar names.
Why doesn't Klein the jacka$$ just fire her then like he did to Aaron Brown, Daryn Kagen and others?
"He has a good feel for topics and guests who'll bring younger viewers into the tent without alienating the core audience." - sound suspiciously like a comment the idiot Klein would make trying to PR his image after sexually harassing Katie Couric publicly a couple of weeks ago. Oh and the most idiotic comment he made EVER!! - that he worships and wants to be Keifer Sutherland. BTW - a micromanager is the WORST kind of boss to be or to have but hey nice try Jon!!
