Daily Show: "It's Lord of the Flies on the MSNBC Roof!"
Comedy Show is Funny. News at 11.

Who says Jon Stewart can't be relevant (sometimes)? The Daily Show picked up on the hot story of the moment, MSNBC's internal feud between Keith Olbermann and anyone at the station who is not Keith Olbermann, and parlayed it into hilarious results. Clip after the jump:
The great thing about this clip: It's timeliness makes it relevant, all the Muppet references make it relatable. Way to earn those Emmys, Daily Show.

the muppet names were good, the stupid skit after that was stupid. Joe Scarborough looked like the biggest douche in those clips.
Scarborough IS the biggest douche…a goon's goon.
You only call him names because he's not "in line" with most of the MSNBC ANALysts. Trust me, he goes against the flow of most of their on air personlities and isn't too popular for it.
Who says Jossip has lost any discernible sense of humor?
Wait, that's me.
Thanks for explaining the "timelessness" of this clip, Jossip. Being the subtly nuanced piece of comic restraint it is, it almost flew over my head.
Oh, timeliness.
Whatever, you still suck.
It's time for MSNBC to pack it in, fold, stop broadcasting, and retire. Goodbye, MSNBC! No one has to cry, either, because it wasn't that much to worry about in the first place–not much real journalism, a bunch of arrogant, spoiled idiot blowhards, a lack of real research, a bunch of re-runs, lame shows, lame anchors, lame reporters, and just plain lameness all around. It should be called LAMENBC. NBC, GE: just get rid of this, as soon as possible. "Baywatch" re-runs would be much more entertaining to watch. As for all those blowhards on the air? They can get plenty of good jobs at any number of manufacturing plants. And please give the suffering news staff good jobs at NBC. Thank you!
I like David Gregory. He at least attempts to be provocative with some of his questions. Those like Joe Scarborough who are not "in the tank" for Obama are actually mocked by their colleagues. Watch his co-host Mika B. when he tries to analyze both sides of an issue or Keith and Rachel's faces when speaking or hearing from the other side. They snicker or mock anyone who disgrees with them.
It's going to be THE KEITH OLBERMANN/RACHEL MADDOW network!!!
Lisa & thefrontpage:
You both nailed it right on the head! I used to be a big fan but over the primary season as the network morphed into the Obama Network/Hillary Bashers I couldn't take it anymore. Objectivity was thrown out the door along with any kind of ethics.
The recent on-air foibles have been hysterical to watch. Everyone's got a hard on over there, but they don't know why or for who! Shit, even Maddow has a boner for Obama!
Not a free speech issue either. Network just needs to separate the political commentators (Keith O., Maddow, Matthews) from the supposed polital reporters (Gregory, Williams, Mitchell). The lines are getting crossed and people are confused. The reporters should NOT have their own show and the commentators should NOT be covering the DNC. Separate their roles. At least on Fox Hannity or O'Reilly is not acting in such an important role like putting Keith O. and Matthews in charge of covering the convention.
MSNBC is FOX News Left - same tactics, different agenda.
Between the two we have 'balanced' - 'fair', not so much.
