Dana Milbank Astounded by Own Cleverness
Taste the Smugness

Dana Milbank is just so pleased with himself. He's managed to turn politicians' criticisms of the "media elite" into a four-minute long video starring himself, pretending to be part of this club (which he is).
Just good old Dana, being his usual clever, on point self, like those kids over at The Daily Show he's heard so much about.

See how long you can make it through the video without wincing at the heavy-handed approach taken by Milbank, who makes Michael Moore look like Richard goddamn Pryor.

Actually, while hardly witty, he is on point since this RNC talking point has only been used in the most shallow, simple-minded ways with no back-up information, argument, or face it, wisdom.

No news here, but thanx for throwing our the obtuse reference to Michael Moore and Richard Goddam Prior. I think only th eblogger elite will get that one

Milbank needs to learn something that more and more and more and more and more and more people keep trying to tell him and his Post handlers: He is simply not funny. He's not even that interesting, talented, clever, insightful or good at appearing on camera. He is not right for broadcasting, and he is not right for being on a camera. He's a print journalist who lost his way, decided to stop reporting, and is trying to do something with video, but it's not working. Note to Milbank and other print journalists: It is a simple fact that print journalism and broadcast journalism and acting on a camera and comedy are all different mediums, and it is a fact that many print journalists are NOT broadcasters, and many broadcasters are NOT print journalists. That is a fact. It is also a fact that many print and broadcasting "journalists" are NOT comedidans, are not actors, and just should not ever be on a camera. That's a fact that many print people need to learn, including Milbank. The medium is the message–remember that.
