Kudos to Times playboy (kidding! He's married) Andrew Ross Sorkin for making it all the way to the fifth paragraph before saying "cocaine binge with a promise of sex with a male go-go dancer known as Tiger." It's all in his story about Seth Tobias, the rilly-wealthy hedge fund manager and CNBC talking head who was found dead in September, face down in the pool of his tony Florida estate.
With Seth dead, now the fight over his (at least) $25 million estate – and $52,532 AmEx black card balance, and $35,000/month mortgage – is going down, with Seth's brothers in one corner and the late wife, Filomena, in the other. In between legal wranglings, the brothers have even accused Filomena of killing Seth.
The brothers, Samuel, Spence, Scott and Joshua, claim Mrs. Tobias drugged her husband and lured him into the pool. Bill Ash, a former assistant to Mr. Tobias, said he had told the police that Mrs. Tobias confessed to him that she had cajoled her husband into the water while he was on a cocaine binge with a promise of sex with a male go-go dancer known as Tiger. [Ed: Named for the stripe tattoos on his body. Clever!]
Mrs. Tobias’s lawyers call the claims outrageous. She has not been accused of any crime.
Unsurprisingly, the whole ordeal has left Mad Money's Jim Cramer asking why this hasn't yet been a plotline on CSI: Miami.

Just shows to go ya…….CNBC needs to do background checks on its respected guests. Wouldn't be bad idea to monitor some of its employees.
Check out this hilarious Britney video!

Wasn't me. It was another Tiger! I swear!
There could be a political connection as well. Something is fishy with Tobias's property taxes. In 2006 his main home was valued $4,593,688 and he paid $98,497 in property taxes. For 2007 the tax appraiser dropped his value to $3,368,480 and his taxes dropped to $68,878.
The taxman dropped his taxes by 30%, yet just yesterday I heard on the news that beachfront property in the area went up 15% the first nine months of this year. So, did Tobias bribe the tax collector or does he have a boyfriend in the taxman's office?
Why is the news not investigating this tax break?
Its all OK……Come judgement day…the Lord will have those Wall St. people breakin' rocks in the hot sun..before, sending them all to HELL.
Seth Tobias was a man of RESPECT, INTEGRITY & HONOR.
She killed him!
HI South Florida,
I agree with you. It looks like Filomena killed Seth Tobias for the money.
I agree with South Florida and Molly. It looks like the wife killed him. Why isn't Filomena in jail?
Filomena is not in jail because she did not kill her husband. If she had done it, don't you think the police would have arrested her by now? Let the poor woman grieve in peace.
This is just sad anyway you look at it. He was obviously caught up in some very shady stuff - she was a money hungry rent a wife. The grieve in peace part commented above it pretty funny though.
