Did ABC News Intentionally Plant an Obama-Hater During the Debate?

nashmccabe.jpg The woman who, during this week's Pennsylvania debate, asked Barack Obama why he didn't wear an American flag pin, making her the only regular citizen to ask a question, is also the woman who was interviewed by the New York Times who wondered aloud, in anti-Obama fashion, "How can I vote for a president who won't wear a flag pin?" Does this mean she was an intentional ABC News plant? And if she was, is that an ethics problem? Or a smart producer?

Choice.. Obama flies a half-black and half white campaign airplane… except, there is a yellow stripe in the black part.

Yes, it seem like she was part of the strategy of ABC to ensure the debate was about meaningless things instead of what is important for the progress of our country.l

The whole thing was a set-up! The debate wasn't nationally televised and wasn't given to other media outlets until the next day, much much slower than previous debates. Giving time for the Clinton mongers to flood the net and airways with how horrible Obama was in the debate and how the little ms phony was wonderful. When I watched the debate I was shocked at how well Obama defended himself… ie the impeached president pardons to Weather Underground's 2 thugs and her baking cookie statement where she was called what she truly is. Then Charlie Gibson, he either didn't even try to cover his rudeness and hate towards Obama or felt protected enough to be terrible to Senator Obama. Cutting the senator off when he had been given the chance to answer questions. Asking Hilary over and over if she needed a break, if she wanted to answer now. Charlie was totally sold out. George did ask Clinton about her rating of being 69% untrustworthy by the American people. But after all George knows the real Hill and has seen those fangs numerous times. As most of in the real world have. The Pa governor was the first one to say the debate was horrible for the first hour and even though he acts so wimpy, I give him credit for the truth about the debate. It was terrible one-sided, but Senator the true statesman did just fine. Oh and finally those looks on Hilary's face when put in her place were priceless. She totally put on the best act so far, but the real deal came out right through the phony..

At least, I'm grateful they fell short of actually stabbing Obama in the back. But with the looks of it, I think the thought probably crossed their mind … and Hillary would have said, the cross fire did him in!

i think obama should have stooped to the lowness of Ms. holier than thou and belted her with her associations with PLO (she gave donations apparently) and covered it up by changing the wording Muslim donations to Museum donations. She is a work of art. How about her comments: Screw em" in referring to the southern white working class in 1995. I know how I would feel if she said"screw'em" about my religion..would you like it ifshe said Screw the Catholics, Screw the Blacks? She probably feels that way about everyone anyway, but people who want to vote for her obviously don't pay attention to what is really going on. it is sad

Could someone please track down the woman who asked the flag pin question and chastise her? Really? The deciding issue for you is a freakin' flag pin? Really? 'cause that's pretty bloody lame, Nash and I hope you know the entire nation is irritated by you.

the question that comes to my mind is whether the panthers really want to see the brother elected?? knowing the recent controversies, it would seem that any of us who would want obama to be able to get thru the door, would avoid creating any situation that may affect his candidacy adversely. or is this a ploy to create controversy so that cnn and the crazy folks at fox can focus their cameras on the panthers.

maybe i just dont understand, but their effort strikes me as self serving. this surely draws attention to the panthers which is not a bad thing in and of itself. but, if drawing attention to one’s self sabbotages the positive efforts of your brother, then how is that commenserate with our collective effort of lifting ourselves out of this sense of hopelessness that pervades our community.

obama appears genuine and has given no one any reason to doubt that he is sincere in changing america, which is what really scares neo-cons and white supremacists to death. As his recent “race speech” makes abundantly clear, he is serious about addressing the real issues and needs, including and most importantly - peace. i dont mean just ending the war, but dialouging with other nations and peoples to prevent further conflict and tune down the rhetoric of “bush hate-speak”.

yes, the panthers have the courage to go where many won’t, and challenge injustice. i just think that they may want to consider that obama may be able to [”or rather continue to” ] affect the national debate in such a way as to bring social and economic injustice into the diaglouge and search for solutions to implement.

not unlike garvey, du bois, malcom, martin, huey, booker t., ida b., the nation, the naacp, the panthers, etc., - all have the same goal but different tactics and objectives to reach that goal. the goal of uplift and improving conditions for those of us of african descent.

i say we give obama the best chance we can to get in a position to make his contribution and we can judge his efforts in history class. but first, we have to remain conscious and act consciencious in attempting to do or not do what must be done to help his election.

if our own “grand” pronouncements” impeed the process, then we may just have to chill - its o.k., none of us are going to go away, evaporate, or be thought of as any less because we have made a mature sacrifice in sublimating our own immediate needs for the collective advancement.

this may be the only chance in the immediate future that we get, not only to elect a man of african descent [like for real!!], but to elect someone whose stated intentions and track record are contrary to the status quo. someone whose lifework came about trying to improve life in the neighborhood

and if i turn out to be wrong, we will surely be none the worse off.
