Regis…..you can get the hell off the show all together as far as I'm concerned.
And take Kelly Ripa with ya!
If this means Anderson Cooper will be subbing more often, then Regis can go NOW.
The show doesn't work without Philbin. Ripa is pretty and lively but she doesn't have his range of friends,acquaintances and history to make the show viable, even with the colorless stiffs who co-host when Philbin is gone.
Regis is the perfect talkshow host because he has a genuine interest in people. When he interviews someone, the guest has his full attention. He does not hurry to shift the attention to himself and make it all about him. This makes him a good counter balance to Kelly.
