Family Guy Compares McCain-Palin to Nazis, Sits and Hopes You'll Get Upset
Don't get angry: it's a trap!

Seth McFarlane is like that dude from high school with A.D.D. who sits in the back of the class fidgeting all day and blowing bubbles of his own spit. The more attention you pay to him, the worse it's going to get.

So it's with a tremendous amount of eye-rolling that we mention that some people (Fox News) are getting up in arms for last week's episode of Family Guy, where it was insinuated that the Nazi's would have voted for McCain-Palin.

Ooh, how racy and provocative and not at all the same type of offensive tactics being employed at the McCain-Palin rallies themselves, where they attempt to paint Barack Obama as "the other". The only problem with condemning McFarlane for his heavy-handed political statement? That's exactly what he wants you to do:

A rep for the show defended the episode, telling Foxnews.com: "From its inception, 'Family Guy' has used provocative concepts and biting satire as the foundation of its humor. The show is an 'equal oportunity offender.'"

The show's creator, Seth MacFarlane, is an ardent supporter of Barack Obama. MacFarlane has given thousands to the Democratic presidential nominee and the Democratic Party, and even spoke at an Obama rally in Ohio earlier this month.

Yuck. I love how Family Guy's excuse is "We make fun of everyone!" when really the only offensive cartoon group to do that is those Libertarians over at South Park.

Whatever. FG jabs at Democrats and liberals just as readily as they do the Morlocks.

Besides, Seth McFarlane is hawt. He can do no wrong.

Seriously. Anyone who doesn't think that FG does indeed make fun of everyone doesn't watch the show.

They don't make fun of everyone equally, Family Guy will not make fun of Obama/Biden, Seth kisses Obama's ass way to much to make fun of him.

This is just another excuse of the liberal left using the Pop Culture to take jabs at Republicans…

Pretty sad!

As SNL writer Michael O'Donoghue said, "The only thing in bad taste is good taste."

Between the flap over the innocuous McCain/Palin button joke (McBush *would* continue our descent into fascism), and Catholic Defense League's Wiliam Donohue crying about Catholic priest jokes, the outrage seems to be quite selective.

I don't find everything FG does as top drawer, but when they're on target, they're brutally funny.

I find the reality of day to day life in the US far more disturbing than anything found in animated comedies. FOX Noise might as well be being run by Joseph Goebbels with the non-stop propaganda drumbeat.

I found this episode incredibly funny. And I hope it gets aired again. I also agree they do make fun of everybody, so nobody should get upset. Besides… if you dont like whats on the show, CHANGE THE *blanking* CHANNEL!!!
