Yesterday, we told you about Roger Ailes preference for nubile CNBC anchors, and his concern that rising star Erin Burnett will burn herself out before usurping her in-network rival, Maria Bartiromo. And since Ailes makes no secret of his belief that female anchors should trade in on their looks before they age and become irrelevant, it comes as no surprise that Ailes' own network, Fox News is taking heat for its anchors' barely-there on-air wardrobe.
CHRISTIAN "media watchdog group" The Resistance is all worked up over the ultra-femme anchors of Fox News. The group's leader, Mark Dice, rants in an e-mail, "I see shorter skirts on the women of Fox News than I do on the prostitutes being arrested on cop shows."
Meanwhile, the ever apologetic Fox responded, "We're always flattered to have everyone talking about us in one form or another."
Totally. In fact, we're sure veteran journalists Diane Sawyer, Barbara Walters and Katie Couric would all be extremely mollified by that sort of attention.

Re-Ailes and Fox. Sex has always sold. I love to watch Fox and Friends and Page Hopkins…who is married and a mother I believe, great bod and legs. I can deal with it…….most healthy men can. re:Erin Burnett…she is too smart to let CNBC burn her out….she'll get out first. CNBC needs to start paying attention to the bloggers who feel….get that "feel" what's goin on, and get there s - - t together.
I have no problem with sexy female newscasters. I do have a problem with rather vacant, humorless (read Maria Bartiromo) newscasters.
If they could find some really smart and hot newscasters they'd be on to something.

Hey DT……Have you seen Rebecca Gomez on FOX yet? To me she's hot……..we all have different tastes. I used to think Maria Bartiroma was the ?BEST til I heard about her relationship, and I believe intimate, with the former wealth management CFO of Citigroup. I don't care who you are respect goes out the window when you hear a married person is foolin' around. Agreed?
Of COURSE Fox News employs beautiful women with short skirts as anchorwomen! The news is the news, but watching Fox News adds another dimension. (A chicken wing is a chicken wing, right? Better at Hooters?). It's time to stop criticizing Fox for the practice that obviously works for them, and that is just a plain fact of life: Everyone likes looking at good looking folks. I'll keep watching "Fox" News!
I insist on Fox News channel because of the hot babes and the favorable coverage they give me.
