Google to Allow Anti-Abortion Ads
It's all fun and games until the conservative Christians hire lawyers.
Yesterday, after a months-long standoff, leftist king of the Internet Google acquiesced to the Christian Institute's demand that anti-abortion groups be allowed to advertise against searches like "abortion help" and "abortion." Initially, Google said they were going to fight the Institute in court, but it capitulated soon thereafter.
Now, frightened young women and men looking for information on Google are definitely going to be subjected to biased scare tactics. But the Christian Institute wants you to note that they won't be the visual scare tactics of the loonies who show up at marathons with posters of aborted fetuses. Mike Judge, a spokesperson for CI, promises they are "not a group of headbangers, and would set out [their] position in a pretty factual, pretty sensible way." Well, at least as sensible as one can be while telling a woman she needs to become an incubator for 18 years and nine months because she made a mistake.
"Now, frightened young women and men looking for information on Google are definitely going to be subjected to biased scare tactics."
Oh, right. That's not "freedom of speech", or "CHOICE", which you pretend to support. It's scare tactics.
"Don't kill you baby", that's really scary to you, isn't it?
"…telling a woman she needs to become an incubator for 18 years and nine months because she made a mistake."
That's not a 'mistake', you pathetic asshole. Having sex is a choice. It's the same choice that a man makes. Get naked with someone? Guess what? You might just become a parent.
You don't want that? Then stay off your stupid back and keep your whore knees together.
Interesting that neither of you put any responsibility for unwanted children on the father.
I'm sure girls will find their way through to what they're looking for. It's not like half the searches on google don't turn up the exact opposite of what the searchie was looking for in the first place. They'll just be a bit more thorough in their searches. Or use a phone book to call Planned Parenthood.
Sure I did.
"It's the same choice that a man makes. Get naked with someone? Guess what? You might just become a parent."
Men have zero choice (and all the responsibility) from the monent of conception. Women can hem-and-haw, mull it around for a while, claim paternity, not claim paternity, until the baby is a nine-month term child, and then still have its brains suctioned into a sink.
So where do you put any responsibility for unwanted children on the mother?
Mention the ???A??? word and all the nutters fall out of the woodwork.
Unless it's you, your body, your decision, shut the f'~k up and mind your own business!
Bl@@dy rabid morons always tring to run everybody elses lives.
Snoop–I believe the biased scare tactics that Cord is referring to is the pictures of the aborted fetuses. I can tell you that when I was in college, every so often we would have these radical anti-abortion protestors come stand in the Quad, dragging their five and six year old kids behind them, and wave huge posters of aborted fetuses around. They were disgusting, disturbing, and completely unnecessary. Abortion is arguably the most contraversial, hot-button topic and each person may have their own opinion on it…but those pictures had no place being waved in the public's face by fanatics trying to use shock and scare tactics. If anything, it made me feel like I would never in a million years support anyone who utilized tactics like that. Disgusting.
