Gossip Girl Actress' Real Life Involves More Drama Than Her Character Arc Thus Far
 

Kelly Rutherford, who plays Serena van der Woodsen's mom on Gossip Girl is going through a hell of a divorce right now. Not only does she claim in her suit against estranged hubbie Daniel Giersch that she's afraid he'll run off to Germany with their son, but the soon-to-be-ex filed his own papers against Rutherford, saying she's a neglectful parent who cares more about her "weekly hair appointments for at least two hours, manicures, pedicures, shopping and the like," than the welfare of their son Hermes.
Daniel also claims Rutherford has a temper and once threw a laptop at him. (I guess you can afford to do that when you are rich?)

Oh, and did we mention the 40-year old actress is also pregnant with their second child. It would be so easy if Giersch would just go the way of Bart Bass…heaven forbid.

His claim sounds bogus, though. A good mani/pedi *takes* 2 hours at their income level, and she is an actress. And we don't know what he said to her to trigger the laptop-throwing. Let's just say I'm curious to hear her side of it.
