Ann Curry briefly reunited with Matt Lauer on the Today Show Thursday morning in London.
Curry, who was ousted from the NBC morning show in June, joined Matt on the temporary outdoor Olympic set to introduce a taped segment where she interviewed photographer Adam Pretty about his experience photographing athletes.
The on-air exchange seemed tense and awkward as Curry refused to engage in Lauer’s attempts at polite conversation.
“Ann, nice to see you,” Lauer said at the outset of the segment as Curry remained politely distant not returning the sentiment. Similarly, as the segment ended Matt said, “Thanks Ann, good to see you,” which was met with his former co-host’s silence.
This was Curry’s second appearance on the show since her teary goodbye. She returned in July to cover the Aurora shooting.
