Steve Florio’s tell-all ‘baffles’ Conde Nast execs

» More Conde Nast

Though Steve Florio‘s contract with Conde Nast runs until 2007 (he’s officially the vice chairman of Advance Publications), that isn’t keeping him from writing that tell-all book we told you about yesterday. The New York Times play catchup today (stooopid publishing scheds!), and media monitor Katharine Seelye is on the recycled case.

Today’s story is mostly what Women’s Wear Daily had yesterday, not even a quote from ex-Vogue and GQ publisher (and real life Mr. Big) Ron Galotti. Ooh, but some 4 Times Square folks are speaking! Anonymously!

Executives at Cond?? Nast had no public comment, but two executives who insisted on anonymity said that they were disgusted by what Mr. Florio was writing and baffled as to why he was doing it.

Breakthrough journalism from those who do it best.
