It's only taken a few weeks to redirect Tom Cruise's image from heartthrob to hokey, and we've got his sister-slash-manager Lee Anne DeVette to thank for that. But Star (and Us and us) aren't the only ones grateful; Cruise's former manager Pat Kingsley is using Lee Anne as a case study for his underlings on what not do do for an A-lister's public persona.

Meanwhile, co-Cruiser CAA team Kevin Huvane and Rick Nicita are begging DeVette to hanker down on Tom's outlandish PR stunts and issue him a gag order.

“Tom has looked like a lot of things, but he’s never looked like a joke,” another source notes. “Thanks to his sister not controlling him, he looks like one. If I’d been at the [Oprah] taping I would have pulled the plug on every camera and dragged him out of the studio by force.”

But then we'd never have these lovely video remixes of the spectacle.
