With Vanity Fair covers nothing more than a social circle popularity contest, seeing the names of Beyonce Knowles and Paris Hilton as potential cover subjects shouldn’t surprise anyone. But the real fun begins when we learn members of both camps are claiming their starlet has landed the September cover of Graydon Carter‘s wedding registry.
Beyonce’s a likely subject because her Pink Panther remake debuts August 5, coinciding the the mag’s August release. But Paris, never lacking in headlines, continues to garner interest with her wedding announcement .. and wouldn’t that make a better feature story anyhow?
Our money is on Paris. Not because she’s more deserving, but taking a cue from the Conde Nast guidelines spreadsheet, black girls don’t sell magazines. Even white black girls.
