Guess What, Readers? You're to Blame for Michael Richards' Racism!

Kids shooting up schools? Blame violent video games. College kids riding dollies down the freeway? Blame Jackass. Michael Richards throwing around "nigger" at a comedy club? You guessed it: Blame the media. That's what the NAACP is doing when it comes to the former Seinfeld star's racist rant. Sure, they're not satisfied with Richards' apology – "His declaration that he is not a racist is indicative of the type of denial that too often accompany racist rhetoric," they say – but perhaps it's watching too much of that CW network that's the root cause:

[The NAACP] also pointed the finger at the media: "The NAACP believes that racism is taught. Media, particularly television, has proven to be a powerful teacher," the group said. "The NAACP recognizes that when it comes to forming ideas and establishing norms, nothing is more influential than the images and concepts delivered into our lives on a daily basis by radio, television, film and the Internet."

So pat yourselves on the back, fair readers. It's thanks to the producers at The New Adventures of Old Christine, for letting white people make race-based jokes. It's thanks to talking heads like Shep Smith, Chris Matthews, and Anderson Cooper, who are keeping the black man down, off the airwaves, and unable to weigh in on politics. And it's thanks to the journalists at the New York Times, who force us to read in order to figure out they're engaged in a new type of class warfare.

Now get back to watching SpongeBob SquarePants, where they're doing this nation a service and making homos the butt of all their jokes.

BOOK CRITICAL OF AFRICAN AMERICANS WHO USE THE N-WORD

Los Angeles, CA., Author H. Lewis Smith has written a thought provoking, culturally divided book that will not only spark heated conversation, but can also bring about real change. The N-word is often used in the African American community amongst each other and is generally not a problem when spoken by another African American. However, once the word is used by a Caucasian person, it brings on other effects. The question is "who can use the word and why?" Smith believes it is a word that should be BURIED!!!!

The book is written in a manner that all can understand. The points are well-taken and the wording is easy to follow. There are quotes from great people in our history including Martin Luther King, Jr., Harriet Tubman, James Baldwin and many, many others. Smith has mixed history with honesty, love with life, education with effects. This is a great book for educators, parents, managers, professionals, newsmen, and anyone else wanting an in-depth look at the N-word, the effects and the solutions. A MUST READ!!!!

This article, titled "Guess What, Readers? You're to Blame for Michael Richards' Racism!" is absolute fictitious garbage! How come no one holds people accountable for THEIR OWN words and actions anymore? Michael Richards made the comments, and now he must deal with what comes with those comments.
People excuse Mel Gibson's comments for two reasons: 1) because he was DRUNK when he made them, and 2) because he is SUCCESSFUL. Michael Richards has done NOTHING other than Seinfeld in his acting career, and even with that, he was only a small part of the show's success.
The author of the above article wants you to believe that if we control people's speech, then racism (or whatever problem) will not occur. That cannot be further from the truth. People should be allowed to say whatever they want to (the First Amendment of our Constitution provides for that). However, the PEOPLE should take their heads out of the sand and hold the ones who make stupid unfounded comments like that accountable. My suggestion is to never go to another Michael Richards "comedy" show again. Also, don't tune in if he is asked to appear on a talk show or late-night TV. Finally, change the channel or turn the TV off if he gets a spot on another show (which will be doomed to fail, just like everything else he's done other than Seinfeld anyway).
I will write to Michael Richards personally about this if anyone out there can get me into contact with him too.
Alright, I'm done with my "rant." Thanks for the opportunity to speak my mind.
