Guy Who Knocked Up Bristol Palin Surprisingly Not That Bright
Darwinism activate!

Oh lordy: someone actually tracked down Levi Johnston, the baby daddy of Bristol Palin's spawn, for an interview about his position in/on the current politic climate. Confirming most people's suspicions, Levi (who dropped out of high school after the proclamation of his fatherhood), is the type of guy that makes Brody Jenner look like Dr. Gregory House in comparison. Which, no biggie, just means he will have no problem communicating with his future in-laws.

Some pearls of wisdom from the hockey hunk, after the jump:

On his love for Bristol:

"We were planning on getting married a long time ago with or without the kid."

His feelings about her surprise pregnancy:

At first, I was nervous," he said. "Then I was like, 'Whatever.'"

On pressure from the Palin/McCain campaign to get married:

"They're not telling me anything right now," he said as he checked his Blackberry. "It's pretty chill."

None of this is that surprising though, is it? I mean, sad, yes. But surprising? Definitely not.

Interesting, isn't it? This is the Republican viewpoint: it's okay to get pregnant out of wedlock, no contraception is allowed, dropping out of HIGH SCHOOL is perfectly okay, no college is allowed.

This is what the Republican party is supporting. Now, imagine if Obama's family were like this. Just imagine.

Well Mark, since Obama's daddy was dipping his wick in any twat that would spread her legs, he has half-siblings all across the fucking world.

In fact, Obama himself is the product of an unwed pregnancy, so what exactly is your fucking point moron? That Palin and Levi's child will one day grow up to be President?

Stupid double standard motherfuckers!

Sarah Palin was pregnant when she married her husband. Just thought I'd pass that to Cracker.

Ummm…double standards much? Obama's dad left his mom and then diddled women in Africa making half siblings for Barack…who also lives in a hut, as does his grandmother and he does nothing about it, that's the real tragedy. get over yourself liberal dumbass

Michael, you are aware that Barack's dad is dead and no longer "living in a hut". How about McCain diddling anything that moved in his navy days? How about him living with Cindy for 9 months before he divorced his first wife? I think you need to get over yourself.

Whoa… can we stop with the attacking of each other, and focus on the actual issues of this current political climate.

In addition, shame on Queerty for calling an unborn child spawn (usually this word is reserved for a neg. description). This child (and the mother/father) have done nothing to deserve this type of attack. Children of public figures while in the spotlight really should be off limits, and certainly not made to pay for the sins of their parents.

C'mon people lets not be like those that we rail against…

I'm off subject here but I have to ask this of Michael, WHY do you and other people of your political beliefs constantly use the word LIBERAL as if it were something bad? To be a liberal is to be one of the countries founding fathers writing the declaration of independence which states all men are FREE to be… Liberal is the freedom to choose your religion, political background, etc..I just don't understand why the word liberal is constantly used as if it were some sort of put down…I'm proud to be a person with liberal views and beliefs, even if it gives people like you the ability to talk down to people like me, i'd rather have the freedom than living in some religious zealot run prison country.

Those quotes are not only taken out of context; you have completely changed the order of the questions and responses.

This is the correct order:

Johnston said he wasn't forced to campaign with his future mother-in-law after being introduced to the nation at the GOP convention last month.

"At first, I was nervous," he said. "Then I was like, 'Whatever.'"

I'm sure he is dumb as dirt, but you don't have to totally distort what he says to prove that point. Oh…and don't forget to vote for Obama in his landslide victory in November. Be a part of history!

You people are ridiculous. They are teenagers. You are commenting on his intelligence from a quote. To say "he is dumb as dirt" is judging a book by it's cover and I think that is very rude. You all don't know him so what gives you the right to talk bad about him? Maybe dropping out of high school wasn't the best thing to do, but at least he and Bristol are taking responsibility for their mistakes at such a young age. So I've got a good idea. Why doesn't everyone leave them alone and stay out of their personal business?

Levi and Bristol are taking responsibility for their mistakes? How is that dumbass going to support a wife and child without even a high school diploma? The responsible thing to have done would have been to use contraception, then then he wouldn't have gotten her pregnant in the first place! Why aren't they married already if they are so in love?

As far as the children being off limits….there is a saying…the apple doesn't fall far from the tree…

I wonder how "mature" the naysayers were at 18. At least he is taking responsibility and working-many teen fathers make the babies and spend the next half of their life avoiding child support. As for his intelligence,he speaks like 80 percent of the teenagers I have worked with as a nurse. Many go on to be successful and eloquent adults.

We all make mistakes, seems those that can't own-it in their own lives are usually the ones that bark the loudest.

These kids made a mistake with no contraception, and they are owning it and dealing with it in a responsible fashion. Responsibility is a trait some of you winey attack babies on here could learn a lesson from. Your in-ability to respond productively leaves maturity tossed out the door.

Your piece asserts: "His feelings about her surprise pregnancy:

At first, I was nervous," he said. "Then I was like, 'Whatever.'"

Interesting way to take things out of context. Reading the AP interview, one will find that comment was about attending the RNC, not about the pregnancy:

Johnston said he wasn't forced to campaign with Palin's mother. Bristol Palin invited him and Johnston jumped at the chance. It was a whirlwind experience for Johnston, who was seated with the Palins at the Republican National Convention.

"At first, I was nervous," he said. "Then I was like, 'Whatever.'"

Did you not read what I said? I said that dropping out of high wasn't the best idea, but at least he is trying. He went out and got a job to support Bristol and the baby. Some of you aren't giving him any credit. He's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. If he would have not taken resposibility everyone would still be jumping down his throat. In my opinion, he's doing the best he can at such a young age. As for the contraception thing, yes they should have used it, but like I said he made a mistake and now he's doing the best he can
