The rotund gent you see at right is being indicted in the city of New York for snatching a McCain campaign sign from the hands of a middle-aged woman, snapping it in half and then punching the GOP supporter, who's been described as "small" and "quiet," in the face. Witnesses to the assault said the man gave no indication as to why he was attacking the lady, to whom he said only, "You people are ridiculous!"

What a crazy man. But what's even crazier is this…

The maniacs at Fox News have yet to make this their go-to story! That's right—the very same temperamental yutzes who went BALLISTIC when Newsweek did something as minor as not Photoshopping out of its cover Sarah Palin's wrinkles, haven't said more than a peep about this attack. Even Bill O'Reilly, the trashiest, bottom-feeding, raging hatemonger Fox has to offer, has somehow refrained from starting some lunatic campaign to boycott New York or whatever. What gives? Where's that famous Fox rage about Obama's godlike status? Where are those clucking ninnies on Fox and Friends pointing out that, unlike Palin supporters, who simply scream that they want to kill people, Obama nuts actually attempt to kill people?

Have the Foxy boxers lost their fight under the ever-growing shadow of an Obama win? Are they sitting on this story until November 5, at which point they'll say, "Look at the disgusting tactics Obama's supporters used on his goosestep to victory"? Is Fox simply incompetent, unable to keep up with even its bread-and-butter stories? Are we completely wrong and we've just missed Sean Hannity frothing at the mouth over "THIS DESPICABLE ATTACK ON A POOR OLD WOMAN!"?

Then again, perhaps it's none of that. Perhaps Fox News producers looked at this story and recognized that it was nothing more than a silly, sad, isolated attack, one that, if reported on, would add little to the national political dialogue. Could that be it? If so, then wow, Fox, we expected a whole lot less of you.
