So, if you haven't heard (or weren't invited) Hearst is having a huge bash. We don't know when it's slated to be held, or we would definitely try to weasel our way in … all we know is that there will be 800 people there, including Oprah and Mayor Bloomberg. The party is to celebrate Hearst's new swanky digs, and they are even extending an invite to Conde Nast. So they can rub their new building in their face we assume.
Cathie Black, the Hearst prez, is especially excited about the big bash.
"We think the opening will be a big media glitterati event," she said of the company's open-ended invitation to its rival publishing honchos.
Media glitterati? Who, Oprah? Atoosa Rubenstein will probably be the only glittery media person who actually attends. And since Cathie Black insisted on saying "glitterati" to Keith Kelly … it kind of makes us not want to go and crash it anymore.
PUBLISHING FOES WILL MAKE NICE AT HEARST'S OPENING [Keith Kelly, New York Post]
