One of those tabloid shows we profess not to watch has become, of late, an infomercial for the website Hollywood.TV. What’s that? Just a wee Mr. Paparazzi competitor.

Founded by Sheerez Hasan, Hollywood.TV gets the shows that license its clips to carry a bug for the site, which also provides blogs with free embeddable YouTube clips. It’s unclear whether the entertainment programs pay to use this footage on air, but it’s likely no cash exchanges hands, or very little — it’d be uncommon for an Access Hollywood or Entertainment Tonight to be forced to advertise a clip’s source if they paid for the rights. (This is different from print or online, where photos, and many videos, must be credited.)

Also in the mix is CelebTV.com, which started as a forgettable player but now packages news segments from its “studio” where “on-air hosts” walk you through celeb events like Britney Spears’ latest car accident.

And CelebTV.com’s recent email to tabloid TV producers explains just how this arrangement works: Plug the hell out of CelebTV.com, and you get the video for free.

CelebTV.com had the only VIDEO camera on scene as Britney switched seats with her bodyguard. Our cameras captured the police activity and the bizarre scenes that followed.

*Including a verbal mention of CelebTV.COM every time they air the footage.

*Provide a LINK from their website to CelebTV.com when they air the footage.

SHOOT REPORT:

Scene 1: Accident Aftermath - FIRST 2 MINUTES AND 7 SECONDS

The three cars involved in the minor accident are stopped one after the other in the middle of the 101 freeway as cars pass by on either side. The Britney car is the last one. We begin with Britney behind the wheel, she was the one driving when the accident happened. She quickly signals her bodyguard to switch seats with her, and we see Britney moving from the driver seat to the passenger seat without getting out of the car. The bodyguard then gets into the driver’s side. At the same time, we see the two cars in front of Britney and how the drivers are exchanging insurance information. The ladies that are in the front car (which were the ones who you could say allegedly caused the chain reaction) are heard screaming “We love you Britney!”. The Britney car now moves away from the center lane of the freeway and gets onto the shoulder/wall of the freeway. All of this, while cars are still passing on the left and right.

Scene 2: Side of Freeway - UP TILL MINUTE 7

Britney is seen in the passenger seat talking on her cell phone and biting her nails. After a moment, the driver whose car was in the middle goes up to Britney’s car to talk to the bodyguard. Here we see clear shots of Britney looking at him and listening to the conversation (inaudible because of highway ambient noise). As cars pass by, we hear people drive by saying “Britney, Britney is that you?” or “Who are you?” or “Britney!”. At this point, Britney puts her left hand on her mouth and we see a humongous diamond ring on her wedding finger.

Scene 3: Cop Walks Over - ONLY A FEW SECONDS

After driving away from the freeway, a cop walks up to Britney’s car out of nowhere and reportedly tells them to drive to a nearby gas station where the incident will be settled.

Scene 4: The Gas Station - UP TILL MINUTE 15 and 30 SECONDS

At this point, several paparazzi and video join the scene. Up to 2-3 California Highway Patrol cars join the scene and at one point there are 4 officers surrounding Britney’s vehicle. At one point Britney is seen smoking a cigarette inside her vehicle as a police officer speaks to her from outside her car window.

Scene 5: Highway Patrol Escort - UP TILL MINUTE 16

A highway patrol police car escorts all 3 cars to the nearby Paramedic Engine.

Scene 6: Studio City Paramedic Engine - UP TILL END OF VIDEO.

Several police cars block the entrance to the station where we see Britney’s car parked inside. Britney is rumored to be taking an alcohol test inside together with the rest of the drivers. NOT CONFIRMED. She allegedly passes the test (Not shown). A firefighter battalion SUV arrives. Later, Britney’s car comes out of the gates and by then, fans have gathered outside the station. A crazy young female fan starts screaming and going crazy as she spots Britney insider her vehicle. Britney drives off.
