It's getting exhausting just keeping tabs on your friends' Facebook status updates, let alone worrying about letting friends know what you're up to … via status updates.

(Us? That's why we've resorted to doing it the fly via BlackBerry. Lame, we know. But also, we get to taunt our friends with news that we're "three feet from Kanye" in real time.)

But just imagine if one of your Facebook friends has a new book to promote — and his name is Howard Kurtz. The Washington Post columnist has been making the talk show rounds like he's a meth dealer and everyone else is suddenly out of Sudafed.

And every time he appears on one of those shows, or gets name dropped by a website that rhymes with Fudge Support, he needs to tell his entire Facebook posse.

Oct. 15, 8:57pm: Howard is booked on every radio show in America this week as the REALITY SHOW tour continues. Expecting a big bounce from Tucker!

Oct. 14, 3:55pm: For those of you who haven't gotten tired of me on television — and I CERTAINLY HAVE — I'm back on Monday with an appearance! on Tucker! on MSNBC. That's in the 6 pm eastern hour. (Also on Diane Rehm's NPR radio show at 10 am.) On Tuesday it's Glenn Beck at 7 pm on Headline News.

Oct. 14, 12:40pm: Howard is recovering from being grilled about REALITY SHOW on his own program–and vows not to do any more TV for the rest of the day.

Oct. 12, 7:55pm: Howard is is ready to crash after book-plugging on the Daily Show, Scarborough, Hardball and other shows he's already forgotten.

Oct. 10, 8:26pm: The series hasn't been canceled yet! I'm still pumping my book REALITY SHOW around the clock. Survived GMA, Situation Room and the No Spin Zone today. Thursday's lineup includes American Morning, Olbermann and the always-serious Jon Stewart. And I'm playing Hardball with Chris Matthews on Friday.
There's only one way to get me to stop, folks: Buy more books! Before I develop laryngitis.

Oct. 10, 8:19pm: Howard is glad he survived O'Reilly and GMA today and getting pumped for Olbermann and Jon Stewart on Thursday. It's all about selling books!

Oct. 9, 4:22pm: For those interested in following my world tour for the book "Reality Show," it kicks off Wednesday on Good Morning America at 8:30. Later I'll be on CNN's Situation Room, maybe 4:30 or so, and I hit the O'Reilly Factor on Fox at 8:20. Guess I'd better rest those lungs.
