Hurricane Katrina crowns kings of the obvious

MSNBC's Katrina coverage

If you're looking for the latest on Hurricane Katrina, there's no better place to turn than the cable networks.

Right?

MSNBC has Carl Quintanilla reporting live via phone in New Orleans with late breaking details of a relief effort underway.

What we're witnessing is what appears the first large-scale FEMA convoy of supplies and relief heading west on I-90 into New Orleans.

And what are they bringing?

The drivers of the semi trucks, we yelled out to them "What are you carrying?" They're all giving us the thumbs up and holding up signs that say "H20." So we can only assume this is large scale quantities of water heading into New Orleans.

Really? What gave it away? We bet it was the thumbs up.
