Idle Minds Want To Know…
…Whether anyone else is less than shocked to hear that Chris Noth and his girlfriend are expecting a child out of wedlock.
We don't mean to sound cynical or anything (non-marriage has certainly worked out great for the Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins, plus Johnny Depp and that hot French chick) but there's just something altogether unsurprising about Sex and The City's resident commitment-phobe knocking up his longtime partner…and simultaneously refusing to propose.

If you live with someone and you are assured that she is on birth control, then, in my opinion, THAT is a breach of an oral contract.
To hms — Anyone who isn't aware that birth control isn't 100% effective needs to get an education quickly. Sometimes, no matter what precautions you take, it still happens — it's the old "consequences of our actions" thing.
As a general comment, for all we know they were trying to have a child. Amazing that the assumption is that it was an accident.
How do you know he refused to propose? Maybe he did propose and she declined. And what difference does it make anyway?
Especially after his little gay affair.
dd,
if you want 100% effective, there are methods out there. Anyway, thinking of Tom Brady, getting knocked up is the oldest trick in the book. I'm not saying that this is what happened in the Noth case. I'm betting the planet it's what happened to Brady.
Not surprised that he did not propose as he has been a professed bachelor for years; however, he shouldn't be too shocked that a young woman in her 20's that he has lived with for five years might want to start a family.
For the sake of the child, hope that it all works out well for them.
