Is Nas Delivering the Most Accurate Description of Fox News Ever?
Rap education

Rapper Nas, who made headlines last year when he announced he would call his forthcoming album Nigger, and went so far as to walk red carpets wearing T-shirts emblazoned with the title, will finally debut his new record July 15. Nevermind that the his label Def Jam forced him to rename the album (it'll be in stores as Untitled).

But one of the tracks on there, titled "Sly Fox," might be of particular interest the readers of this site — because it's an attack on Fox News, and Rupert Murdoch's entire News Corp. Some of the lyrics go a little like this:

Propaganda / Visual cancer
The eye in the sky / No. 5 on the dial
Secret agenda / Frequency antenna / Dr. Mindbender
Remote control / Soul control [...]

Fox has a bushy tail / And Bush tells lies and foxtrots / So I don't know what's real [...]

(chorus:)
Watch what you watchin' / Fox keeps feeding us toxins
Stop sleepin' / Start thinkin' outside of the box
And unplug from the matrix doctrine

Though, as is the case in all of these types of battles, this wasn't the first bullet fired: Fox has attacked Nas before, which he specifically addresses in the song.

Go Nas! Makes me feel good to hear someone responding with the truth and challenging Fox Noise Channel, even if it is through rap songs.
This guy has more guts than most other entertainers and more than most politicians. Too bad our representatives in congress wouldn't speak up and declare the truth for once. I hope this guy keeps telling it like it is and keeps giving hell to the Fox Republican Propaganda Channel.

Faux News Channel, shut up.

Nas, thank you. We disagree on the album title, but you brought the black noise that they can't relate to. That's why they hate you. Why don't they go after criminals that run this country.

Oh, I know. Because Republicans tell them what they're going to say and, like sheep, they do what they're told.

I just love how you publish "Nas"'s rants as indiciative of how real people (those rubes who live between Manhattan and Malibu) see Fox News - then you publish an entire thread of how Fox DOMINATES across the board in the actual ratings and in the key "demo".

Oh, and its hillarious that Fox is "Faux" when just this week- CBS had to retract not one but TWO "news" stories that were fake.

Not to mention NBC's FAKE exploding pick-up trucks and FAKED flood condition stories or NYTimes' Jason Blair, the Nation's Stephen Glass, etc., etc., etc…

We get it- Fox = Faux - even when the MSM is actually FAKING the news.

Nice, libs.

See, but the problem is that that fox news is actually awful. Its a tabloid rag in video and audio format. Especially with racist hannity, drug addict rush, crackpot neal Bortz and felon Ann Coulter jawing on as if they're upstanding, shining examples of the moral right wing. At least no other station makes that claim. Fox radio news says "we're what's Right with America" and that is not a lie in any sense of the term right.

Nas is retarded, as is those that complain and cry about Fox News' effort to report the truth and the side of the news that all of the other liberal owned media stations don't. It's well known that the majority of news outlets are driven and possessed by a very liberal, lying agenda and because Fox news goes against that grain, they're hated on.

So Nas, all your song does is enlighten us all on your ignorance and the ease of which you are influenced by the liberal media. Thanks for showing us how retarded you are.

Watch Nas perform the song on The Colbert Report, preceded by Colbert's usual humorous yet ironically truthful bit on Fox's activities.

Hate "liberals" and the "liberal media" if you like, but Fox IS and HAS gone over the line, and hundreds of thousands agree, and they agree in writing.
