Is Wendi Murdoch Sexing MySpace's Chief?

JOSSIP REPORTS — First there was David Wolf, the gent who Wendi Deng Murdoch reportedly sexed when he was just a PR guy and she was still married to Jake Cheng.

Now we've been directed to a rumored liaison between Wendi and Chris DeWolfe, the MySpace chief who Wendi's husband and News Corp. made a very rich man when they snapped up his social network and appointed him leader. Wendi's been working heavily with the Chinese operations and expansion of MySpace, so her routine with DeWolfe makes for an excellent cover should their rumored relations hold true.

And as the story goes, Wendi and Chris are spending their time managing more than friend requests.

According to a source claiming detailed knowledge of the relationship, the couple allegedly meet, secretly and frequently, at Murdoch's Soho apartment at 141 Prince Street, which Rupert fought so hard to obtain in 2000, while Wendi and her husband "live" at their proper Fifth Avenue penthouse. (Though we certainly won't claim to know what happens at 141 Prince. Maybe they're just changing the backgrounds on each other's profiles?)

Worth noting, of course, is that the building at 141 Prince was sold, in April 2006, to designer Elie Tahari — or about a year after News Corp. acquired MySpace for $580 million in July 2005, leading to speculation the pair have moved their meetings elsewhere since.

How does Mrs. Murdoch allegedly meet with DeWolfe without raising suspicions with the husband?

A favorite girlfriend of Wendi's covers for the missus' escape, providing the alibi for when Wendi tells Murdoch that they are going out together, says our spy. Meanwhile "tongues are wagging all around the senior executive suite" at News Corp. about the more-than-friends relationship, supposedly, and it's "common knowledge" in LA and New York circles that Wendi isn't a fan of fidelity. (Apparently, we do not operate in the appropriate LA and New York circles.)

How long has the closed door relationship been going on for? Hard to say, but rumors of the twosomes' close friendship date back to early last fall. You have to imagine DeWolfe has big balls to try to sneak behind patron Murdoch's back.

And you would think that Murdoch would be a little more wary about his wife's proclivities. After all, it was the Wall Street Journal, which Murdoch now owns, that blew the story about Wendi and David Wolf wide open in 2000. Maybe that's why he had no problem accidentally losing his wedding ring this summer.

Update: We hear a Vanity Fair contributing writer is also on the trail of Ms. Murdoch.

DeWolfe lives in Los Angeles…how frequently could they be meeting anyway?
