We've got some bad news for you. Well, it's more like bad news for NBC Universal: Your re-configured daytime gab fest iVillage Live, since renamed the MUCH MORE HIP In The Loop With iVillage, is actually worse than it ever was. The last time we tuned into this amateur hour of programming, we cringed. This time, we're performing a civic duty: Publicists? Do not let your clients appear on this show.
The brainchild of NBC digital chief Beth Comstock, the show's first incarnation aired while readership of the $600 million iVillage.com website … dropped. The ratings? Embarrassing. Not that either of those factors would allow NBC to admit its mistakes and kill the show.
Instead, iVillage is back after a re-tooling, though as far as we can tell, the only thing that's changed is its location; it's airing from Chicago now, with Apprentice Bill Rancic at the helm. And as you'll see in the above clip, it doesn't even belong on YouTube.

I've watched the show quite a few times and i gotta admit, they actually have some cute and good topics most of the time, at least they are good for mom's like me. I really like Bill and Kim but that Ericka is a trainwreck as you can see in this clip above. Did you hear what she said about pudding? she is so weird and is pretty terrible at this job. but aside from her and some weird technical stuff, i do like the other hosts and most of the topics and information. See ya!
I agree, Erika is terrible! I've tried watching the show several times and she's clearly the weakest of the bunch. She's really appears unapproachable and unlikable, not someone I'd like to have lunch with at all.
Has she ever been on TV before?
Did anyone hear the rumor that Bonnie Hunt will replace In the Loop? Hopefully sooner rather than later. I'd much rather see Bonnie Hunt in daytime than another sub-par segmented show.
Who thought that giving 3 people who have never done a talk show before a live show was a good idea? Not good. Bring on Bonnie!
The show is not even crap…I don't know what could warrant such comment. I personally find The Loop is really awesome! It beats watching 'no-brainer' mushy wushy soaps, or those dysfunctional talk shows ahem Jerry Springer.
I want to know about how to handle life and have an optimistic outlook…. "In The Loop" really presents some awesome ideas to use in everyday life. The recipes are really neat. The hosts are very warm, nice and down to earth. I think Bill is genious — he knows how to ask those critical questions to get the viewers to know more on given topics (all featured on website). Kim is hilarious she just has a "people person" vibe and so entertaining. Kim is so much fun! She's my favorite. I don't think Ereka is unlikable. I think she is very vibrant, spunky and brings an energetic vibe to the show.
I am also an avid watcher of the View and it seems like the younger female talk show hosts always get the flack. For example viewers coming down on Elisabeth Hasselbeck as In The Loop with Ereka. Ironically they are the same age and happened to graduate from the same college: Boston College.
I would be sad if "In The Loop with iVillage" is canceled.
Come on guys - give the show a break. I've been watching this for a couple of weeks now and it's actually a very sweet show. It feels like your watching a conversation among friends. I like it. The hosts are generally pleasant. Give them a chance to make this work!
