Now that's she's remaking herself into a pop star (it's 1999 all over again!), a cleaned up Britney Spears is filming promo spots for MTV's Video Music Awards (thus hinting that she'll return to the awards show) and, more importantly, delivering a sit-down interview to describe what life is like when you don't invite the paparazzi into your life and battle in court over custody of two children whose pregnancies you may have smoked through.

That she's giving the interview to OK!, though, is a little surprising. While Richard Desmond's American tabloid worked out a $1 million baby photo deal with his sister Jamie Lynn, Britney doesn't have such a pleasant relationship with the magazine.

This time last year (read: circa July 2007), Britney was also trying to give OK! an exclusive sit-down interview when she happened to do one of her crazy things like eat fried chicken and wipe the grease on a Gucci gown (then sold on eBay) she was wearing for the photoshoot, let her dog shit on a Zac Posen garment, and then storm out of the interview before it was finished "still wearing $14,526 worth of OK!’s borrowed clothing." Those words are in quote marks because that's an actual quotation from OK!, which printed the entire series of events in the magazine TO MAKE BRITNEY PAY.

But here is Spears, once again speaking to the tabloid. "But this time around, a source says that things went quite well," reports Scoop. "Not only did Spears answer questions (with no couture dresses harmed in the process), but her dad, Jamie Spears, who’s never spoken at length with the media, was forthcoming about Spears’ relationship with her management, Kevin Federline and her sons."

The issue hits Friday, and will likely feature zero crotch shots, bare feet, or bald patches.
