Jennifer Lopez deserves your respect. Here you were, thinking that she was just some middling pop star who's made a career out of having a big booty and being a mediocre triple threat, and then she turns it all around by showing her true face as one of the most devious con artists since that guy who dated Anne Hathaway.

How, you may ask, has J-Lo managed to swindle big bucks from networks like NBC and TLC?

TLC had a development deal going with Jennifer Lopez to develop her own reality show. But then there were some "creative differences" about the format of the show: Would it highlight her living her day to day life? Or was it centered around the release of her new perfume? Either way, the story kept changing until TLC was forced to, in the words of 30 Rock's Jack Donaghy, "shut it down."

But don't worry! J-Lo gets to keep the cash that TLC ponied up to get a big-name star on their network. And despite watching the station gnaw off its own leg to get out of the contract after the deal went sour, NBC is gladly willing to pony up even more dough for a supposed J-Lo pilot. Oh, and she's just sold another pilot to ABC.

If J-Lo is as smart as it seems she might be, she's intentionally making as many of these low-overhead, crappy pilots as possible, and then selling them to stations that end up passing, but not before paying her. Oh my god, it's the plot of The Producers!

We never thought we'd say this, but J-Lo is a genius.
