John McCain Still Making Mainstream Media Sleep on the Couch
Marital woes

John McCain's campaign supposedly broke news of Sarah Palin's daughter's pregnancy to ease attacks from the liberal blogs, which drummed up a conspiracy theory that Palin's fifth child was actually her granddaughter. But now McCain — seen here in an intentionally cropped photo — is turning on his "base," saying it's more than the blogs causing him migraines, but the mainstream media as well. And taking a misguided cue from Hillary Clinton, he's gone on the attack against the press. Again.

McCain's campaign manager, Steve Schmidt, yesterday lashed out at what he deemed "offensive" and "demeaning" coverage and questions from reporters after McCain's running mate, Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, confirmed her 17-year-old daughter is pregnant.

"It used to be that a lot of those smears and the crap on the Internet stayed out of the newsrooms of serious journalists," Schmidt said at the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Why so sad? Perhaps because the magazine industry loves to fawn over Obama, as do a whole slew of cable news talkers.

Like the ones on MSNBC, which so aggravated McCain's camp that campaign manager Rick Davis sent NBC News president Steve Capus a letter last month complaining about the network "abandoning non-partisan coverage of the presidential race" and making "unsubstantiated, partisan claims" about the candidate.

Except it's not like McCain is doing much to court a refreshed love affair with the media.

Barack Obama ignores and shuts out the press — and it gets them drooling over him even more.

McCain's approach, however, is to lash out at them.

McCain also took a combative stance in an Aug. 27 interview with Time reporters James Carney and Michael Scherer, refusing to answer a question about his definition of honor.

"Read it in my books," McCain said. "I'm not going to define it." That exchange set the tone for the rest of the interview: McCain answered a question about his opinion on premarital sex by saying, "I don't have any response to that type of question."

He added, "Write what you want."

Aside from the National Review's masthead, might Ron Fournier be McCain's last remaining friend?

No. 1 SLUTTY CHOLA COBBLER says:

With Reference to Sarah "RedNeck" Palin and her ghettofab lifestyle:

I don't feel sorry for Harvey's BRISTOL cream PALIN.

Her mother put her in this position by accepting the VP nomination and knowing that her daughter is not only pregnant, but with all the other allegations of misuse of power, etc..

What happened? She thought People wouldn't talk? I get it, Alaska is far away from Washington.. Tucker Bounds probably came up with that analogy.
It just goes to show how far away from reality this woman is.

Another reason BRISTOL's pregnancy is very very important is to show the sheer reckless behaviors these people (Evangelical & Right WingNUTS)are promoting in this country.

What if Levi Johnston had HIV? STDs are rampant amongst teens in Alaska. Who in this day and age doesn't want kids to be using protection?
Oops, Sarah Palin..

Sarah Palin's fanatic policies about abstinence, no birth control or protection and anti-abortion stance is reckless and hypocritical considering she has a daughter that got knocked up at 16 years old, obviously wasn't abstinent, dropped out of school, and isn't married. And I am supposed to believe this values bullshit??

What would be the outcry if this had been Obama's daughter or Chelsea Clinton? We would hear how they are whores, immoralists, liberals and all the other wingnut jargon. Don't even mention a black or Latina Urban female.. We would hear how coloreds are oversexed and bringing down American moralality.

Sarah Palin needs to go away. I surely don't want this hypocrite wingnut telling me how I should operate my vagina and we surely don't want this bible thumping fanatic dingbat changing laws that will affect the health and well-being of American teens and adults.

The fact is that no one else would be able to get away with it, so why should these people?

Look at last Friday’s introduction of Sarah Palin in Dayon, Ohio by Senator McCain. Now I understand why he had to literally read from his prepared script when he introduced her as the Governor of Alaska . I thought he was afraid he’d forget her name. Actually he was afraid he might have said something like …Sarah Palin, the next grandmother of Alaska…
