John McCain's Ferragamo Loafers Prove He's Out of Touch With Middle America

Remember when John Edwards got a $400 haircut? (Like your adult massage preference, it was an out-call, and thus more expensive.) And the right-wing jumped on the chance, with the "liberal" media in hot pursuit, to paint Edwards as a limousine liberal out of touch with regular America? Turns out the Democrats are going to get their turn at bat — with John McCain's shoes.

McCain's been spotted on the campaign trail donning a Salvatore Ferragamo's Pregiato Moccasin, a pair of Italian loafers that retail for $520 at Neiman Marcus.

But at least he's making great use of them: He wears them in the car, he wears them in the golf cart (next to George W.), he wears them to Lance Armstrong's Livestrong Summit, he wears them in the grocery store (for a photo op). And yes, he wears them while walking with the Dalai Lama.

For some odd reason Americans have been brainwashed into believing you only have the right to be rich and sucessful if you are a Republican. Republican + Rich = The American Dream. Democrat + Rich = Elitist. No wonder this country is collapsing.

$520? I'd have thought they'd cost more!

People seem to forget that he is married with an
extremely RICH lady.

Do you think she's going to let him run around in Walmart shoes?

John McCain is out-of-touch with core issues "Main Street" Americans are facing.

John McCain wants to take you, The American Tax Payer $700 Billion dollars to "bail-out" Wall Street.

This proves to me, he is a hypocrite and only cares for "special interests" and not Middle America.

No to John McCain, No to Sarah Palin and No to bail-out.

America, we need change.

November 4, 2008, I encourage you to vote for Barack Obama for President.

Barack and Joe have got their sleeves rolled up, there vision in place and ready to take on Washington for All Americans.

Barack Obama for President.
