Jon Friedman (almost) covers sports blogs

Baseball glove

Today's column from media hack Jon Friedman is just his latest attempt to get hip to blogs. The unceremonius result we've come to expect: He falls far flatter than Marketwatch's stock ticker graphic.

The article is titled "Covering baseball in a world of blogs." And somehow Friedman manages to fail in mentioning even one blog. Nope, not-a-one.

Not Yankee Fan, not DeadSpin, not SportsBlog.org — and really, couldn't he have found that last one with a simple Google search?

Jon-Jon focuses instead on how the jock scribes at ESPN have taken their craft to the Internet on ESPN.com. Which gets to the whole "covering baseball" part, but sorely leaves out the "world of blogs" angle.

We're reaching new heights of journalism here, folks.
