I know Anne Coulter really wants me to hate her because I'm a liberal but I just don't. I don't agree with her but I just understand the need to HATE fellow Americans who feel differently. But I guess that is why I'm a democrat not a republican.

The reason I dislike her so strongly is not that she has different views, but that her different views (specifically about homosexuality and its place in society) is downright offensive. I respect difference; I don't respect hate sugar-coated as free speech.

Everytime I look at her I can't help but see "lesbian". She just reeks of it. Nothing wrong with it, she just does..
She has so much advice for single mothers but has never been married. Beyond that, she has the eyes of a mad woman, bulging and crazed. To make it worse, she has that black stuff smudged all around them making them look more insane. I hear she has white wine and cigarettes for breakfast…lives on them. Which likely explains her sunken anorexic look. She certainly gets alot of attention but most sickos do….just look at the octopussy mom, Nadya Suleman.

@Chris: I pity her for her hateful views (and I agree with you on her views about LGBT people) and i don't respect them. But she has always struck me as someone who feeds off hate and like most people who feed off hate there is an underlying sadness there. It makes it difficult for me to be angry I just feel sad for someone's whose worldview is so dark and whose life seems to be based on anger and indignation.

Hasselbeck will never have the balls (or adam's apple) that Coulter has. She's a weepy ball of stupid.

Wow! Someone who can finally make Joy Behar shut up and expose her real lack of knowledge of all things political! Ann Coulter is actually very good friends with Bill Maher and a toast of other liberals/Democrats. Haven't heard that she's a lesbian, seriously doubt that one. I don't necessarily agree with her social views however I'm right with her on fiscal responsibility.
So Getreal - are you saying that all Republicans hate people who disagree with them? that's what it sounds like. @Lisa: Bill Maher has made withering statements about her. They were friends but who knows what happened because they are archenemies now.

Joe Behar continues to disappoint….I know she is showing restraint because her personal views are much stronger than she lets on…The reason I liked her was for her fire….which seems to be going out. Maybe she wants to remain professional and unbiased, but that defeats the reason for her original appeal…she was forthright, outspoken and never backed down from defending her beliefs, in politics, religion, freedom of speech, etc. I hope she perks up and gets some of her old gusto back; otherwise she is going to lose her following. Actually, I feel the same way about Whoopi Goldberg. Her little pansy attitude of late lately has been very disappointing and if she doesn't grow her cajones back, she too will lose the interest of her following.

I like Whoopi and her calm, balanced approach to both sides. At least she listens. Joy just talks, mostly from both sides of her mouth. She's easily caught making totally hypocritical statements. For someone who backs the party of "tolerance and acceptance" she's one of the most intolerant and unaccepting (of anyone else's beliefs that are in opposition to hers) people around. It makes her irrelevant.

Didn't realize Bill Maher and Ann Coulter are "arch enemies" now! I've never heard her say anything and I honestly don't watch him much anymore.

It's hard to maintain passion and fire, when your on the losing end. Joyless knows that Obama is not doing what he told dems he would do in Iraq (he's doing, exactly what Bush recommended he do, he's going to "surge" in Afghan) on the other hand he doing exactly what conservatives said he would do–TRY to lead us to socialism. It's hard to have passion, I know, TRY getting excited about JOHN MCCAIN :)

My favorite part was when Behar asks Coulter if she thinks people hate her and she actually says no. How can she not realize that so many people hate her?

As a moderate I can staate this without ony hesitation: Liberals and conservatives have equal amounts of bitterness in thier souls. It's just coming from different directions. Whether it's Obermann ranting about Limbaugh, or Limbaugh ranting about Obermann, the same amount of bile is coming out of thier mouths.

When you think about it, what exactly is wrong with that? Less bile in the belly means a healthier shit in the morning. Right?

I am particularly amused when people who have no argument go after Ms. Coulter's looks / associations / adam's apple. And exactly WTF do they mean by "hate speech"? They mean that they *hate* to hear it because hard facts resonating against their own thinly constructed and ill-thought-out worldview is like a church bell clanging in their head. A friend of mine once said that people like nothing less than having their own BS pointed out to them… Ms. Coulter does that with flair and it leaves the weak-minded "judge people for their intentions not the results of their actions" folks hyperventilating about how "mean" she is. The truth, as they say, hurts. :-)

No sir the truth doesn't hurt. People take issue with Ms. Coulter because she can rarely just debate the issues and state her case with out being personally insulting people. If you don't like the policies of John Edward for instance take apart his platform, making snarky comments about his hair and calling him fag is inflammatory and does not sound like "truth" to me and it is a term that lesbians and gays find painful. It is not Ms. Coulters views I have a problem with I don't share them but i do respect her right to have them. My issue is that petty insults slow down the dialog and dilute her message and make it seem like her intent is to insult not inform.
