Just Like That Case of Herpes, Joe the Plumber Just Keeps Reoccuring
The itch that won't stop

It's sad that at a time when Senator John McCain is doing the admirable thing and going back to his public duties, the tattered remnants of his campaign just can't seem to fade away.

Last week it was the whole Sarah Palin/Martin Eisendstadt hoax, then it was whether or not GOP apologist Joe Lieberman would be able to keep his place in the senate, and now we're into the real meat of the issue: what's going to happen to Joe the Plumber??

Don't worry guys, he's got it covered. Just like we originally guesstimated, Joe is getting his own book deal.

Joe the Plumber, or "Sam Wurzelbacher" as he is known to his friends, signed a book deal with Texas publishing house PearlGate. Yeah, guess whether or not those guys have a religious affiliation. The book is going to be "co-written" (read: written entirely by) Thomas N. Tabback, who writes other Christian-sounding books. Fun! Maybe Kirk Cameron can star in the made-for-tv movie!

So why didn't Joe go to a bigger, more reputable publishing house to pitch his story, tentatively titled Joe the Plumber: Fighting for the American Dream? Well, obviously because his book is going to be so popular, and he doesn't want any of those elitist publishing giants getting rich off of his (read: someone else's) words.

The Times cites an interview with Fox News in which JTP said he could have gone with a larger publisher, “But they don’t need the help. They are already rich. So that’s spreading the wealth to me.”

Yeah, keep pushing that phrase, Joe T. Plumber. "Stop Spreading the Wealth" would make an awesome name for the conservative talk radio show you will inevitably receive.

I think its JOE Lieberman, not Bill. Anyway, who cares about JTP? He's just stretching his 15 minutes into 20. Nobody will read that book, not even the conservatives. I mean, what could he possibly have to say?

Why would anyone care to read about the moron who helped John McCain lose an election? He was only the last of the many mistakes the McCain campaign made. I hope to God he got his taxes in order or he's going to find out real quick why an IRS audit is compared to an anal exam!

This guy couldn't even string together a coherent response in a Fox News interview. And they honestly think he has important insights to share in a book? Our culture is officially dead.

I don't want to hear this fool criticize others for "spreading the wealth" when he benefited from welfare, as a recipient. What a loser. His book will go straight to cable, or more appropriately, the bargain bin.
