After withdrawing her name from Emmy consideration, Katherine Heigl explained her decision this way: She wasn't "given the material this season to warrant an Emmy nomination." Well how's that for a 1-percent-self-deprecating/99-percent-attacking statement? Clearly, Heigl wasn't happy with what the writers were giving her on Grey's Anatomy, and speaking to the press is the only way to have your voice heard! And so began rumors that Ms. Izzy wanted off to show so she'd have more time to peruse better money-making adventures, like film. But far be it for Heigl to make her own decision, maybe it would be the writers she insulted that would decide her fate on the show. Thus, the rumors that her character would develop a brain tumor this season, and maybe die, as Us Weekly reported earlier today. But if Heigl's Izzy does develop a brain tumor, expect her to rebound victorious — if the official word from ABC is to believed.
Serial denial reporter People counters the Us report this statement from ABC entertainment president Stephen McPherson, made earlier today at the Television Critics Association’s annual fall preview: "She’s absolutely staying with the show." And: "There’s an unbelievable storyline for her which is really central to everything that’s going to go on this season. We’re really excited about that."
So maybe Heigl is sticking around! But there's also the very good possibility writers will give her a brain tumor and, in the ultimate moves to force Heigl's suffering, have her put through a chemo regimen that'll force her to lose her hair.
And for authenticity's sake, creator Shonda Rhimes won't allow Heigl to wear a bald head cap during filming; she'll have to shave her blonde locks off. Bitch!

IF OFFICIALLY HATE THIS ATTENTIONWHORE GRABBING TROLL!!
I never knew I could dislike this woman more. She is so full of herself and annoying.
The reality is that the only reason she won the first Emmy was because she had her nose all over the media with the Isaiah Washington/TR Knight/Patrick Demsey situation.
This girl is the weakest link of all the actresses on Greys.. Chandra Wilson, Katie Walsh, Sandra Oh, Ellen Pompeo and Sara Ramirez.
Hopefully she'll leave and have a David Caruso kind of career..
The idea of shaving Ms. Heigl's head is stupid. Sounds like Shonda has a thing for bald women. If Katherine was playing a Medieval princess, would she wait years for her hair to grow, or would she allow her to wear a wig?
