Ken Baker Finalizing E! Gig?
The exiting Us Weekly veteran is "in final negotiations with E! with Ted [Harbert, the network president] who loves him and Ryan Seacrest pushed to get him this job," says the inbox. "Ryan has made it easy for his friend to get a job there. No official announcement yet but he is already working stories for them. He's very excited about his new role thanks to the one friend he has left in Hollywood. With Ryan's help he is negotiating for a big role and the top guns at E! love Ryan and love Ken."

So E! is actually hiring that lawsuit magnet? Does Baker's mancrush Seacrest have something on Harbert?
Baker's mancrush? Please Peecrust and Baker are mutual and consensual girlfriends, and I don't mean platonically. How Peecrust holds any sway after her defecated on the Golden Globes 2007, is beyond me.
Say what you will about Ken, he did bring good scoops in to the magazine even if he did get the odd story wrong. He has some excellent sources which is something that Janice's remaining cronies don't have. The bitchy colleagues that helped sideline him seem to have forgotten that having actual sources and getting actual stories is what entertainment reporting is about. Someone somewhere decided that simply discrediting other people's stories justifies the fact that they haven't got any of their own. If they put as much effort in to getting stories people want to read as they did into the Ken smear campaign then the magazine's news-stand sales wouldn't be sucking so hard. Us Weekly has really lost it's way.
Ma Nolan = Ken Baker. That's hilarious. You had us going for a while!
I agree with ma nolan - us does suck and never breaks any stories. janice's heart isn't in it any more. ken was good at big exclusives but a liability that they had no option but to fire.
I love Ken Baker!
It's a shame because Us was great once but seems to have had it's day. It started with the fake news type features that none of the readers are interested in and Jann ordered for the advertisers benefit. It's a fact that Ken's not the only person who thinks Us is a lame read.
The rapidly falling news-stand sales speak for themselves
I've known Ma..I mean, Ken, for years. This is so typical of him/her.
