Rita Cosby will not be appearing on the Today show today, tomorrow or anytime soon if Larry Birkhead's lawyers have anything to say about it.
According to TMZ, Today producers abruptly canceled a scheduled sit-down with the former NBC correspondent (and author of trashy publicity-seeking bio, "Blonde Ambition: The Untold Story Behind Anna Nicole Smith’s Death") after receiving a rather threatening letter from the litigious Larry Birkhead and his newest crop of high-paid high-powered attorneys.
Birkhead, as we reported previously, has threatened to sue Cosby for smearing his *cough* good name with somewhat-believable allegations that he and Howard K. Stern were in collusion throughout the custody hearings and somewhat-less-believable allegations that he and Stern were in a "relationship." At least according to Jackie Hatten, a reliable source "known wacko whose brother served prison time for stalking Anna Nicole."
And while some people are dismissing Cosby's new book as "unsubstantiated trash," still others are intrigued by some of her more outrageous claims. Like, for instance, our gay younger brother.

"The books also alleges Stern and Birkhead, who may or may not have been in cahoots to rob Smith blind, made a naughty video, a video which become one of Anna’s favorite picks. Is it gross that we want to see it, too?"
Our brain is urging us to be diplomatic here, and say something benign/glib like, "Well, there's no accounting for taste." But our heart (and, well, our vagina) is insisting that we call a spade a spade, and respond with a disgusted sigh and an unequivocal "Yes, yes Andrew it is."

Rita Cosby is just another person out to make money by not knowing what is realy going on. How do you think this baby is going to feel when she grows up reading all the negative stories people like Rita Cosby are writting. Just leave well enough alone. This is just a Ploy for money. If you noticed that Ms Cosby spent alot of time with Vergie, who I now consider the grandmother from hell….I couldn't stand Ms.Cosby before and I can't stand her even more now. She has lost her job and now she thinks she can make some money at everyone elses expense. Vergie is trying to make Danny's daddy look bad in the Bahamas…To be honest who give two sheets about the Bahamas anymore. The truth be known Rita and Vergie have probably had some hopping good times together themselves. Everywhere Vergie was Rita was right up her butt… Rita you are a no good snake and you all should leave this baby alone. Vergie no one ever said you couldn't see Danny except the one person that mattered the most and that was her mother. I now don't wonder why that is so much anymore. Larry had never at anytime denied you seeing that baby, and now he has every right in the world to, you will od nothing but put negativity in that childs head about her mommy and her daddy. Rita and Vergie appear to be more of bed buddies than the other pair. You are both money whores and don't care that you are trying to destroy that little girls life as if she hasn't been through enough as it is. Well first of all Mark Hatten was found NOT GUILTY of stalking Anna Nicole. Anna accused every man she dated almost of stalking her once HKS decided the relationship was over.
Jackie Hatten's and Mark Hatten's credibility is as good as anyone's in this "den of thieves" but what is so sad is that Jackie and Mark's credibility has been destroyed over a stalking charge that Mark was found NOT GUILTY of.
NBC has lost its edge. They are all fluff these days. What happened to the day when newspapers and TV stations stood up to protect thier first admendment rights? They can't seriously call themselves a news station after this cowardly act.
