Tim Robbin's self-righteousness is quickly becoming the only reason I'd ever vote Republican. You know, just to piss him off.
This Huffpost rant is naturally in regards to Tim Robbins having his constitutional right to vote taken away from him…because he showed up at the wrong polling place and made such a scene that the police where called. Of course he could apologize and admit a mistake, but nope. Shawshank Redemption here is going to dig himself in a little deeper.
I must also thank you for sending your letter not to me but to all the major newspapers in the New York area and across the internet. I understand it was your way of clearing up this matter and for that I am grateful. I am particularly appreciative of your sending a copy of my voter registration card with my home address and driver's license number to all the newspapers and, by extension, to millions across the internet. What celebrity dilettante wouldn't want his private information made public? What kind of snob gets angry that his family's safety might be compromised? It comes with the territory, right? I was thinking of returning that favor by publishing your home address in this letter but then I thought that maybe one of the thousands of New Yorkers that were taken off the voter rolls in the last two months might not understand what a patriotic upstanding man you are and might show up at your doorstep with the misguided assumption that you are a petty vindictive corrupt scumbag.

I am tired of these self-righteous people with nothing better to do. Try working a regular job for years, praying you aren't let go in this economy. Then see if you have the time or energy to write letters like that.
You know,
I have to laugh at the irony of this rather liberal celebrity whining about losing his right to vote from…a rather liberal voting district! And to think that he always felt it was the Republicans who were going to take away his rights someday…
If he lives with Susan, where did she vote? Obviously, they didn't go together. If they live together, they would have gone to the same location. I didn't hear about her having any problems. So either she didn't vote or showed up at the right location.
What a douche.
ummm… it looks like he DID go to the right place and was removed from the rolls. If I had been denied my right to vote I would have been furious, too.
And writing him an open letter and publishing his private information rather than contacting him directly (like they would have done ANY other private citizen) is straight up bullshit. He has every right in the world to be pissed.
And to Chris, the dumbass who is suggesting that he get a real job so that he won't have time or energy to write letters like this:
What kind of "regular job" do YOU have that allows you the time and energy to criticize other people for demanding their right to vote on a motherfucking GOSSIP SITE. Glass houses my friend. GLASS. HOUSES. At least Robbins is angry about something important.
