Lil Wayne Documentary Best Thing to Happen to Sundance
Messages are coming through the wire that Lil Wayne's biographical documentary, The Carter, is the best thing about 2009's Sundance. Far from being the epic Notorious biopic that it could have been, Carter is a film mainly about the dangers of drug abuse, with a sort of sad portrayal of Dwayne Michael Carter Jr.
Not that you needed another reason to see a movie about Lil Wayne, but apparently, it's really, really good and sort of a downer. Has everyone raving about awards. Should have been called Requiem for a Carter. Directed by Adam Bhala Lough.
