Are celebrities making a mockery of rehabilitation programs by appearing not to take the treatment seriously? Addiction experts and CNN seem to think so!
"It is making a mockery of rehabs," agrees Harris Stratyner, a psychologist with Caron, a nonprofit addiction treatment organization.
Sure, that's one boring medical expert's opinion, but what do the completely unqualified (and clearly biased) celebrity weekly news editors have to say about all of this?
Fortunately, our favorite ubiquitous fake-newsbuster Janice Min was on hand to offer mock sympathy and provide the obligatory "it's heartwrenching, but great for sales!" perspective.
Janice Min, editor of US Weekly, a leading celebrity magazine, said that while the public is growing tired of the antics of young celebrities, they also cannot stop watching and find it "incredibly fascinating."
"Lindsay is almost becoming a Robert Downey Jr for a generation – an incredibly gifted actor whose personal shortcomings just keep getting in the way," Min said.
"But one of the things with Hollywood celebrities is that forgiveness is a bottomless well among their fans," Min said.
Also bottomless? The number of vodka shots Lindsay could throw back in an hour (SCRAM bracelet notwithstanding) the number of teenage girls who will be adversely affected by Lindsay's bad example and the number of magazine copies Min will be able to move in the aftermath of yet another Lohan drunk-driving arrest.
And, of course, the lengths to which Min will go in order to drum up publicity/sales for a magazine that exists solely to exploit and manipulate troubled celebrities and exalt in their reversal of fortune.

If Celebs were treated just like everyone else in the eyes of the law they would be more thankfull of just getting rehab and not 6-12 months in jail for a DUI or DRUG possesion. But NO they have the money to buy their way out of it and all that is saying is we can do drugs and drink and drive and you will still love us because we are on your tv. And what makes it worse the more trouble they get in to the more popular they get OH I JUST GOT A DUI AND A DRUG CHARGE CAMERAS WHERE ARE YOU!!!!! HA HA HA !!!!
LET THEM SIT BEHIND BARS AT A REAL JAIL NOT NO PARIS HILTON VACATION SPOT OR MARTHA STEWART BUT A REAL SHACKLES NO MAKEUP,MANICURES,VISITORS OR, SPECIAL TREATMENT AT ALL THEN I BET THEY WILL GET THEIR ACT STRAIGHT.!!!!!
[...] Janice Min claims Lindsay Lohan is the next Robert Downey Jr. Which is crazy! After all, what are the odds of Lindsay [...]
If la LILO is going to be another Robert Downey Jr. it means she'll never kick the habit. Everybody in LA, NY and in between knows that RD Jr. still drinks and do a lot of drugs (Coke is the prefered powder for his nose) but one thing has change: he has learned to be much more careful with whom and where he indulges. He is as fake as a wooden nickel or queerer as a three dollar bill. Queer as strange. And as an actor, well, Charlie Chaplin was ok but everything else sucks. I thought he should have been arrested in Zodiak, not as the killer but for killing a role with an awful performance.
anyone know what kind of glasses he's wearing?
