Are you guys psyched about Paper Hearts, the new sem-autobiographical documentary about Juno star Michael Cera and his Asian girlfriend Charlyne Yi? No? Perhaps that's because you haven't heard of the feature, which is being kept semi-secret in Hollywood, despite strong interest from investors hoping to cash in Cera's star before he starts growing hair in weird places and becomes unmarketable to the tween demographic.
And while we want to have high hopes for the film, which will premiere at Sundance next year, we can't help but think that this is the type of project Cera is choosing over returning to the role of George Michael in the Arrested Development movie. And if that's the case, I'm issuing a preemptive boycott on any films with the young Canadian until he gets his ego in check and remember what amazing comedy gave him his boost to the spotlight.

Who's Michael Cera, and why would anyone care about this guy enough to sit through 90 minutes of film about him? Rhetorically "who," as he's a young actor who, reality check, many people find not that funny and irritating. All the more reason to wonder why anyone would sit through 90 minutes of film about some young, geeky, irritating actor who many people find not that funny. And that "Nick" was a gawdawful terrible as its stupid title!! Game plan 101: You don't be in a "documentary" about your life until you have at LEAST 25 or 40 years in the business, people. Game plan 101: If a studio makes a movie about a half-hearted, low-rated TV show that most people did not watch, and they offer you movie-level salary, TAKE IT. Game plan 101: Take every offer coming your way, at this point. The irritating geek appeal will end in approximately two years. Sometimes, it's easy, folks.
I fail to see what's so great about him. He's only kinda funny, totally NOT cute or hot, and pretty bland besides that.
