Michelle Obama to Dictate Fashion in Upcoming Years

While her husband if off fighting crime during the inauguration, all eyes will be on Michelle Obama for the question on every American's mind right now during this troubling and scary time: What fashion tips can we determine for the upcoming years based on Mrs. Obama's outfits?

“Mrs. Obama is, first of all, very elegant and has wonderful taste,” Ms. Solomon said. “But she also recognizes the value of beautiful dresses and not big prices. She dresses like taste doesn’t necessarily have to do with brand or status, but with what looks well on your body and makes you look glamorous, bottom line.” And that, she added, is “very refreshing and appropriate for this period.”

Oh, so 2009 will be the year of discount shopping? So much for the Jackie O. pearls.

“The way Michelle Obama dresses is not her stimulus package to the fashion industry,” said Mr. Kolb of the designers’ council. “It’s how she is. I think about my sister who lives in New Jersey and is a teacher, and about the women she works with, and how they can look at Michelle Obama and not have to pretend to be that woman, that working mother with kids who knows the big designer names but also shops at J. Crew and the Gap. She’s who they are.”

Michelle Obama: Working woman who dresses like a teacher from New Jersey, without even trying! If this article was anymore backhanded, it would have been written by Laura Bush.

Well, with the size of that ass, one can only hope they stay away from horizontal stripes and big belts!

hey now! I went to school in NJ, and I can tell you that my teachers (the female ones) were actually quite well/stylishly dressed.

it was the male teachers that needed the help. think plaid sport jackets, toupees, and shoes like Cousin Eddie from Vacation.

Michelle Obama will need quite a bit of help in her attire in the future, even though I certainly agree with her that is not a matter of brand name, or prices, but what suits you. I have seen her in some very nice outfits, e.g. The Black & White on the view, the green she made her speech in, the purple is ok, I did not like the red & black which she wore at her husband's very important winning speech, she has a terrible walk, and needs to be trained along those lines, I can tell she works out, because here upper body looks goods, work on those legs they are too broad, they are special exercises for them, please check with your trainer.

If I were your designer I would put you in a 'buttercup yellow' dress for your inauguration outfit, you will look dynamic, sensational, and so unusual, your complexion is perfect, and it is the colour that's hot, I even have a perfect design in my head for that, I can just see you in it. It is so unique. The kids are cute, but I hope they will not be conceited, spoiled brats, the elder one already appears that way. I know they are happy and excited, but they also will need some councelling. That's it for now and all the best to the OBAMAS.

Michelle needs lots of help, to be The First Lady, which I am sure she has been receiving quite a bit of training, she tries to appear cool, and this is a breeze, with no problems whatsoever. Honey you have alot to learn and you better do it fast, you are a great pretender, Your husband also thinks the job is a piece of cake. Please Mr & Mrs. Obama wake up smell the roses & the coffee, does some one have to pinch you to let you know this is reality. I am a Democrat, but I must admit the Republicans have treated you with much respect, which you deserve, and offer any help they can offer to you, do not be too proud to ask questions, please, you do not have all the answers.

Our next First Lady is so beautiful, strong and intelligent! I am so very proud to have the Obama's represent the U.S. She doesn't need to change a thing or ask anyone for advice. As for the children, they have dealt with politics in their lives for years and the are adorable, intelligent and certainly do not need counseling! Are you insane?

Speaking of First Lady Michelle Obama:

Michelle Obama is a racial-minority individual, and in her heart and mind she inevitably does not endorse hate crimes committed by George W. Bush.

George W. Bush committed hate crimes of epic proportions and with the stench of terrorism (indicated in my blog).

George W. Bush did in fact commit innumerable hate crimes.

And I do solemnly swear by Almighty God that George W. Bush committed other hate crimes of epic proportions and with the stench of terrorism which I am not at liberty to mention.

Many people know what Bush did.

And many people will know what Bush did—even to the end of the world.

Bush was absolute evil.

Bush is now like a fugitive from justice.

Bush is a psychological prisoner.

Bush has a lot to worry about.

Bush can technically be prosecuted for hate crimes at any time.

In any case, Bush will go down in history in infamy.

I am not sure where I had read it before, but anyway, it is a linguistically excellent statement, and it goes kind of like this: “If only it were possible to ban invention that bottled up memories so they never got stale and faded.” Oh wait—off the top of my head—I think the quotation came from my Lower Merion High School yearbook.
