Rather than move forward with a plan CNN wanted – that would've had the Time Warner outfit substitute for nearly all of ABC News' operations – Iger was interested in a "true joint venture." You know, one where Barbara Walters could continue pontificating with celebrities without any overshadowing from Anderson Cooper and his ilk.
