What Anna Wintour wants, Anna Wintour usually gets. And she wants someone to clean up the Forge River. Afterall, she vacations on the very un-chic (meaning, no gossips tailing her around. Hmmm ….) waterfront property, hereby referred to as "Mastic estate." Anna is fuming because her kiddies can't swim in the disgusto river and her dogs can't splash around in their new outfits.
"No one would swim in the Forge River," she said yesterday from her waterfront Mastic estate, once owned by descendants of William Floyd. "It's disgusting - the smell, the pollution. … We have boats, and I have kids, and there is no way we would let them go in the water."
She will attend a benefit at Mill Pond (only $75 bucks a head? Anna, what the hell is going on?) to try and clean up the Forge. And if that doesnt work, Wintour will probably just pay for a huge clean-up project out of her own pocket. Or, you know, send her interns to clean all the garbage out of the river until her kids can splash around and not get poisoning if water goes in their mouths.
Fashion mogul turns activist [Newsday]

um kids….ya, she has kids and that youngest one is a sophomore at Columbia. Can't really see Bee being the type of girl to swim in a river regardless of how clean it is.
Who the heck swims in a river anymore?
She wants to sue someone cough..'government' to clean it up so she can sell her property for higher amount.
